Mesut Ozil insists he is focused on Arsenal amid ongoing speculation surrounding his future.

The German, along with Alexis Sanchez, is in the final year of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and has been linked with a move away in as early as January as talks over an extension continue to stall.

Standard Sport understands Arsenal have indicated a willingness to offer both players new deals in excess of £250,000-a-week, around double their current salaries.

Ozil, who was named man of the match as Arsenal thrashed Everton last weekend, insists his focus has not been affected by the uncertainty of his future.

"The most important thing is football," Sky Sports. "I am going to give everything, 100 per cent, for this club. It's important for me to give my all and then enjoy playing as well.

"Then, whatever else happens, we will see in the future.

Majority shareholder Stan Kroenke was full on praise for Ozil and Alexis during the week, insisting he wants to retain the duo and quality to supplement them, which the World Cup winner was thankful for.

He added: "It's very nice to hear that and see that, he's a major shareholder. I'm happy here and I do my job to 100% as I always have. I give everything and leave it all on the pitch for the team."
