Hugo Lloris and Toby Alderweireld will have scans today to see whether they have a chance of playing in this month's north London derby.

The Tottenham pair picked up injuries in Wednesday's 3-1 win over Real Madrid, with Alderweireld damaging a hamstring and Lloris suffering a thigh strain.

Michel Vorm will replace Lloris in goal against Crystal Palace on Sunday while Alderweireld's absence should mean Eric Dier moves into defence, with Mousa Dembele pushing to return to the starting XI.

Pochettino said: "We must be focused, and use the Madrid result to lift us and build confidence. But we need to understand we must work hard to get another good result on Sunday.

"It's always difficult to play Wednesday and Sunday. The effort was massive. We must be ready for a very tough game as Crystal Palace have a very good team.

"They struggled from the beginning of the season and they changed their manager but we know Roy Hodgson very well. We had a good relationship with him from the national team and they are always well-organised."
