Watford head coach Marco Silva is still looking to do plenty of business in the next two weeks, even though he believes the transfer window should be closed before the season starts.

Silva is poised to make Benfica winger Andre Carrillo the eighth new arrival at the club this summer, while he is looking to offload a number of players as he continues to overhaul the team.

“For me the best solution is to finish everything before the season starts,” said Silva, whose side play at Bournemouth tomorrow.

“It’s really important because after we start the season. It’s not the best scenario, I’d look to stop before the season.”

While Silva is keen to see the rules altered, he is fully prepared to work on transfers right up until the deadline.

“The owner knows what we want, what is best for the squad. We expect to finalise some of them before August 31,” he said.

“This is what I expect. Our board will work hard to sign the players.”

Peruvia international Carrillo, who played under Silva at Sporting Lisbon, is set to sign a season-long loan with an option for a permanent deal.
