Aaron Mooy and goalkeeper Jonas Lössl move to Huddersfield

Bournemouth have signed Nathan Aké from Chelsea for a club record fee in the region of £20m.

The 22-year-old Holland defender, who spent the first half of last season on loan with Eddie Howe’s side, has agreed a long-term deal at the Vitality Stadium. He joins the former Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe, who completed a move to Bournemouth on Thursday, as Howe continues his recruitment for the 2017-18 Premier League season.

“I had a great time here last season so I’m really happy to be back,” Aké told Bournemouth’s website. “It’s an exciting challenge. Chelsea is a great club and I learned so much there but this is a new step and the right place for me to develop even more.

“The fans haven’t seen the best of me yet. I always set the bar high so I know there is a lot of things I still have to work on. With the help of the manager here I know I can keep improving and become a better player.”

Howe said: “Nathan is an outstanding young player with a fantastic attitude and a great desire to learn and develop. He has a very bright future ahead of him and I’m very pleased to say that future is here.”

Huddersfield sign Mooy from Manchester City

Huddersfield have announced the signing of Aaron Mooy from Manchester City for a club record £8m, which could rise to £10m. The 26-year-old Australian played a key role in the club’s promotion from the Championship last season in a successful loan spell, and the midfielder has now made the move permanent.

“Everybody who has watched our team in our promotion season knows how huge it is to have Aaron back at the club as we enter the Premier League for the first time. I’m sure our fans will be very happy to see him back,” the Huddersfield manager, David Wagner, said.

Huddersfield have also secured a loan deal for Mainz goalkeeper Jonas Lössl. The 28-year-old Danish international, who is 6’ 5” tall, joins on loan for the season with an option to complete a permanent transfer.

The club had further positive news on Friday with the announcement that Wagner has signed a new two-year contract. Wagner and his assistant, Christoph Bühler, have been rewarded with improved deals after guiding the club to promotion in their first full season at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Barcelona buy back Deulofeu as Everton capture Onyekuru

Barcelona have activated their buy-back clause for Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu, who will return to the Camp Nou on a two-year contract for a fee believed to around £10m.

However there is already speculation he could be loaned out with a view to a permanent move in order for Barcelona to make money on a player they have developed since the age of nine.

The 23-year-old Spanish winger could not convince the current manager at Goodison Park, Ronald Keoman, with the club loaning him to Milan for the second half of last season. He has been competing at the European U-21 Championship, where he has captained Spain to the final.

Everton have confirmed the signing of the Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side Eupen – a deal which takes their summer spending past £50m.

The 20-year-old, who finished the season as joint top-scorer in the Belgian Super League with 22 goals in 38 matches, has signed a five-year contract after a fee understood to be in the region of £7m was agreed earlier this week.

However, he will immediately go out on loan to Anderlecht for next season where he will play in the Champions League.

Borini leaves Sunderland from Milan

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini has joined Milan, the Serie A club have announced. Milan have signed the 26-year-old on loan initially ahead of a permanent move. Elsewhere on the continent, Lorenzo Pellegrini has returned to Roma from Sassuolo for £8.8m, striker Mariano Díaz has left Real Madrid for Lyon, and Real Betis have agreed a fee with Barcelona for Cristian Tello.
