The Chelsea legend opens up about Liverpool FC signing Mohamed Salah
Frank Lampard has hailed Mohamed Salah as a Premier League revelation at Liverpool FC.
The Reds signed the Egypt international in a £39m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma in the summer transfer window.
Salah has scored 12 goals and has made three assists in 15 appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
The 25-year-old has netted six times in eight games in the Champions League to help the Merseyside outfit to reach the last 16.
The summer signing is the Premier League’s top goal-scorer ahead of Sergio Aguero, Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku in the 2017-18 season so far.
Salah struggled to leave his mark on Chelsea during a difficult six-month spell in 2014 before he moved to Serie A on loan at Fiorentina and then AS Roma.
Former Blues midfielder Lampard admits he has been impressed with Salah’s outstanding performances in the Premier League this season.
“Mo Salah has been a revelation,” Lampard told BT Sport. “At Chelsea you could see talent but you couldn’t see the finished article that we’re now seeing.
“But fair play to him, he’s come to the league and settled so quickly.”
Salah won the Premier League title and the League Cup during his brief stint at Stamford Bridge.
Liverpool FC will welcome Everton in the Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
The Reds were 7-0 winners against Russian side Spartak Moscow in their final Champions League group-stage fixture on Wednesday night.
