Liverpool transfer news: Manuel Lanzini on Jurgen Klopp’s radar if Philippe Coutinho goes to Barcelona
West Ham playmaker has been linked with Anfield switch this summer and could make jump if Barca can agree a fee
LIVERPOOL are considering West Ham's Manuel Lanzini as a replacement for Barcelona target Philippe Coutinho.
Barca are trying to lure the Brazilian - who is big pals with Neymar - to the Nou Camp and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked.
Reds chiefs are fighting desperately to keep Coutinho at the club but are preparing alternative options just in case.
And Lanzini is believed to be among the contenders after emerging as the Hammers' main creative force following Dimitri Payet's exit.
The two-cap Argentinian attacker scored eight goals last season in 35 league appearances - making his international debut in May.
He would appear to be a good fit in Klopp's dynamic attacking system but few players could fill Coutinho's boots.
The ex-Inter Milan star is the focal point in the Reds' passing game and has continued to reach new heights.
Coutinho, 25, is approaching his prime and Barcelona are willing to shell out £89m to secure his services.

Personal terms are believed to have been agreed - leaving his fee as the only stumbling block.
Klopp has repeatedly stated he had no interest in selling Coutinho – for any price.
Last week, he said: “I’m not surprised that any clubs are interested in players at Liverpool.
"A few people obviously see that a Liverpool has a few good players.
“But its a very important message to make – we are not a selling club. That’s how it is.”
