'Coutinho's fault'

Fans react as Liverpool’s set-piece frailties come back to haunt them just seven minutes into the new season

Stefano Okaka pounced to give the Hornets an early lead before Reds drew level for just two minutes.

LIVERPOOL'S Premier League campaign got off to the worst possible start.

Just eight minutes into their clash with Watford, Jurgen Klopp's side found themselves 1-0 behind through Stefano Okaka.

The Italian striker was left completely unmarked as he headed home Jose Holebas in-swinging corner.

With new signing Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane on each flank, Liverpool fans had every right to feel optimistic ahead of the new campaign.

But is a familiar feeling for supporters who saw their side concede their fair share of set-pieces last season.

And viewers of the early kick-off took to Twitter as they reacted to Watford taking the lead.

Men in Blazers wrote: "Liverpool utterly vulnerable at set pieces without 5"7 Coutinho."

It didn't take long for the Reds to draw level through Mane with a well worked goal.

But just two minutes and 41 seconds later, Klopp's were trailing yet again when Abdoulaye Doucoure capitalised on some more slack defending.
