Romelu Lukaku labels goalscoring debut as a ‘dream come true’ after firing Man United to a comfortable win
ROMELU LUKAKU hailed his perfect debut as a dream come true after firing Manchester United to all three points.
The £75million summer signing proved his worth by scoring twice in his side's 4-0 drubbing over a poor West Ham.
The big Belgian linked up with Marcus Rashford in the 33rd minute to open his account with a tidy finish.
Lukaku then showed where his loyalties lie by pointing to the United badge on his shirt in celebration.
And he doubled his tally in the eight minutes into second half when he headed home Henrikh Mkhitaryan's set-piece.
And after the game he was quick to hail the home crowd for their support.
He told Sky Sports: "To play in front of such a crowd for a great club is a dream come true but the most important thing for us was the win.
"When you play for Manchester United you know everyone has a job and mine is to score goals.

"The team did a good job today. We scored a lot of goals and created a lot of chances. It's promising.
"He (Jose Mourinho) wants me to be a leader for the team and create as much as I can.
"In training we work hard and the hard work will pay off. The manager has a plan and we try to follow his plan and hopefully it will take us somewhere."
Lukaku was unplayable at times but he was pipped to the Man of the Match award by fellow summer signing Nemanja Matic.
The Serb further proved why Chelsea's decision to sell him to title rivals could spectacularly backfire on boss Antonio Conte.
And Matic believes his new side can only improve as each win brings more confidence.
He said: "I think it was a very important game for us to start well and get three points against a very good side.
"First half they were very compact but after we scored the first goal there was more space for us.
"Next game we will play with more confidence, I don't want to say it will be easy for us but we will have more confidence for sure."
