Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United send scouts to watch Porto defender Ricardo Pereira
The in-demand 23-year-old has attracted interest following an impressive loan spell with French club Nice
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR and Manchester United are among a number of club's that sent scouts to watch Porto defender Ricardo Pereira in action on Sunday.
RSC Annderlecht and Real Vallodolid representatives were also present.
Two Premier League clubs sent scouts to watch the defender during Porto's 1-0 victory against Tondela.
Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain have also voiced their interest in the 23-year-old.
He has excelled during the last two seasons whilst on loan at Nice in France.
Pereira can play at right-back, right-wing back and can also feature in the left-back role.
The addition of the Lisbon born defender to Pochettino's squad would provide competition for Kieran Trippier.
Tottenham have also recently confirmed that defender Danny Rose will staying put this summer.
Porto have attached the 23-year-old with a price label of £20million.
Spurs reportedly made an official offer for Pereira in June, but the £13.6m bid was swiftly rejected.
Manchester United will be looking to seal a deal for the 23-year-old to bolster their defence for the new season.
Pochettino's side remain favourites to secure the Portugal international's signature this summer.
