Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists Emre Can wants to stay but talks are stalling over new deal
German boss insists the midfielder wants to stay at Anfield despite having just 12 months left on his contract.
EMRE CAN is the latest Liverpool player to hold off signing a new contract.
Brazilian team-mate Philippe Coutinho remains locked in talks over his future with Barcelona desperate to take him to the Nou Camp.
Boss Jurgen Klopp insists Can wants to stay at Anfield but admits he is frustrated with how talks have progressed.
The Germany international has just 12 months left to run on his current deal.
It means foreign clubs will be able to agree a pre-contract with Can on a free transfer in January.
Speaking to the Echo, Klopp admitted the situation was 'not cool'.
He said: "So far there is no signing and that is the situation.
“We are still in talks. Do I think it is too cool that we didn’t fix it so far? No, to be honest.
