Manchester United transfer news: Red Devil manager Jose Mourinho to wait until January before making next signing
The Portuguese chief has added Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic to his ranks already this summer, but said he wanted four players
JOSE MOURINHO is set to wait until the January transfer window before making any more signings, according to reports.
ESPN claims that Mourinho has decided against bringing in new talent as he would first need to offload fringe players.
The Portuguese boss has already added Victor Lindelof from Benfica, Romelu Lukaku from Everton and Nemanja Matic from Chelsea to his ranks this summer.
And the three new recruits have cost United a combined total of £145 million.
Mourinho has identified the need for attacking reinforcements, with a winger high up on his list.
But the former Real Madrid boss has been left frustrated by his side's inability to sign a top-class wideman.
United failed with bids for Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, while his interest in Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale came to nothing as the Welshman chose to remain with the European champions.
The report also states that Mourinho is reluctant to rock the boat by selling squad players.

The Old Trafford club's wage bill has been significantly reduced this summer by around £500,000 with Wayne Rooney joining Everton, the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the £9.8 million sale of Adnan Januzaj to Real Sociedad.
However, Mourinho is prepared to offer Ibrahimovic a new short-term deal if he can prove his fitness in the coming months.
He has 15 days to go until the closure of the transfer window on August 31.
Barring any changes of heart, he is expected to now focus on the players he has at his disposal for the rest of the calendar year.
