Barcelona fan pictured with Philippe Coutinho’s name on his shirt… but club fear move is now ‘impossible’
Supporter's early optimism looks set to backfire as the Catalan club close in on another attacking player
ONE Barcelona fan is so confident that the club will sign Philippe Coutinho that he already has the Liverpool ace on his shirt.
But it appears his early optimism could backfire as the Catalan giants are conceding defeat in their pursuit of the Brazilian, according to reports.
The eager supporter was spotted in his Coutinho shirt in Barca's 2-0 win over Real Betis on Sunday.
Alongside his name was the no 11 - the same shirt Neymar gave up ahead of his world record switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
Barcelona have already had three bids turned down for the 26-year-old with the latest reaching a whopping £118million.
But according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo, Coutinho's move to the Nou Camp is nearing on "impossible" as Liverpool continue to stand firm in their stance that they will not cash in.
Coutinho, who has yet to play this season with a back injury, has tried to force a move by handing in a transfer request.
The playmaker is thought to be furious as Liverpool continue to block his dream move despite boss Jurgen Klopp saying the matter is out of his hands.

And it appears Ernesto Valverde's side are already lining up other targets as they close in on a move for winger Jean-Michael Seri.
Seri, who has ironically been linked with Liverpool, is set to leave Nice in a £36.5million deal on a four-year contract.
The club are also having difficulty in finalising a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Ousmane Dembele.
