Arsenal plan contract talks with top stars including Aaron Ramsey and Petr Cech to avoid another Alexis Sanchez situation
A host of first-team stars are nearing the end of their contracts including Olivier Giroud and the Gunners will hold crunch talks before Christmas
ARSENAL will hold contract talks with key players to avoid another Alexis Sanchez fiasco.
The Chilean and team-mate Mesut Ozil are braced to leave the club for nothing next summer with their contracts expiring at the end of the season.
And the Gunners will learn from their mistakes by holding drastic talks with a series of first-team players whose contracts expire in 2019.
Aaron Ramsey, Petr Cech, Olivier Giroud, Danny Welbeck and Theo Walcott have just two years left on their current deals.
According to the Telegraph, Arsenal don't want to head into another season with uncertainty over their stars and plan to hold contract talks before Christmas.
The club appointed Huss Fahmy this summer to work alongside Dick Law on new contracts.
But they haven't managed to convince both Sanchez and Ozil to commit their futures at the Emirates.
The pair have been offered lucrative deals worth in the region of £300,000-a-week but they have grown disillusioned with life at the club after missing out on Champions League football.

And they aren't the only players looking for a way out.
Right-back Hector Bellerin and defensive team-mate Shkodran Mustafi both demanded to leave Arsenal this summer.
Bellerin was eyeing a move to Barcelona whilst Mustafi was on the brink of joining Inter Milan.
The club also lost Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on transfer deadline day in a £40million move to title rivals Liverpool.
