Spurs failed to progress into the knockout round last season having lost twice at Wembley, their temporary home ground.

And with Aubameyang arriving in fine form, he will be confident in keeping up his scoring record.

The Gabon striker has bagged six goals in his first five appearances this season and his latest Instagram post shows that he is ready to add to his tally.

He posted an image of himself en route to London alongside team-mates Mahmoud Dahoud and Julian Weigle.

The 28-year-old kept his 5.3million followers updated of his journey with a selfie alongside the caption "let's go" before pinning his location at Wembley Stadium.

Pochettino will know the importance of avoiding defeat in order to progress from their difficult group.

Current holders Real Madrid are also one of Spurs' opponents and are expected to be one of the two teams who progress from Group H.

Dortmund come into the fixture unbeaten in their opening three league matches with two wins and a draw.

The last time these two teams faced each other was in the Europa League quarter-finals in 2016 when Dortmund won 3-0 at home and then 2-1 at White Hart Lane.
