Manchester United told to ban ‘racist’ Romelu Lukaku song about the size of his willy by Kick It Out
Anti-discrimination organisation react after footage emerges of supporters singing about Belgian striker's penis
MANCHESTER UNITED have been asked to ban their fans from signing a song which references the size of Romelu Lukaku's penis.
Kick It Out wrote to the club after footage emerged of a chant to the tune of Stone Roses hit Made of Stone being sung during the clash with Basel.
The song is also believed to have been repeated in the 4-0 win over Everton.
The Times quote a spokesman as saying: “Kick It Out is aware of the footage of the alleged racist chanting by supporters of Manchester United that emerged on Wednesday evening [13 September].
"The lyrics used in the chant are offensive and discriminatory.
"Racist stereotypes are never acceptable in football or wider society, irrespective of showing support for a player.
“We have contacted Manchester United and will be working closely with them and the FA to ensure that the issue is addressed swiftly.
"The perpetrators can expect to face punishment.”
The issue was first raised by season ticket holder Scott Patterson, who writes a popular blog called The Republik of Mancunia.

In it, described the song as "drivel that belongs in the 1980s".
Patterson added: "Here we have a hugely talented striker, currently top scorer in the league, yet he's reduced to celebrating the supposed size of his d***.
"It's a cheap and insulting stereotype that has no place in this day and age.

"He's our Belgium scoring genius.
"He's got a 24 inch penis.
"Scoring all the goals, B*****d to his toes."
"I was embarrassed to hear that song and I want us to be better than this."
A United spokesman insisted the club has a "zero-tolerance attitude" to racism.
