Swansea 1 Watford 2 match highlights: Richarlison nets last minute winner for Marco Silva’s men to send Hornets to fifth
Watford snatched a winner a minute from time after sub Roque Mesa gifted Richarlison the ball 40 yards from goal.
The midfielder opened his legs and despite a poor final touch lifted the ball over Fabianski.
Having dominated the opening five minutes Watford had a golden chance to take the lead.
Kiko Femenia’s precise cross from the right landed at the feet of Andre Gray.
The former Burnley man could scarcely believe his misfortune as Alfie Mawson somehow diverted his goalbound shot for a corner.
The visitors got their reward seven minutes later thanks to that man Gray.
Gray sent Andre Carrillo away on the right and then converted from eight yards after Sam Clucas had failed to clear.
Swansea were dreadful. They could hardly string two passes together.
Boss Paul Clement reacted to one stray pass from Leroy Fer by demanding his subs warm up.
Sadly, their response was poor. The fans began to boo and rightly so.
Watford came within a whisker of doubling their lead six minutes before the interval.
Mawson’s backpass fell straight to the feet of Gray whose shot from an angle brushed the wrong side of the far post.

The Swans were level 10 minutes into the second half thanks to sub Abraham.
The Chelsea loanee followed up Wilfried Bony’s shot and converted from four yards.
But that was soon cancelled out after Mesa lost the ball, Brazilian Richardlison went on the charge beating Mawson before rifling the ball in off the crossbar.
