Hatem Ben Arfa set to take Paris Saint-Germain to court over his exclusion from team

The former Newcastle winger has fallen out of favour under the management of Unai Emery at Parc des Prince and faces being forced to play in the fourth tier of French football.

HATEM BEN ARFA'S lawyer has appealed to the French League's legal commitee, LFP, after Paris Saint-Germain asked him to train with their reserve team.

The Frenchman believes that the club have breached regulations by excluding him from the first team fold.

It is the second time this season that the Ligue 1 side have told Ben Arfa to train with the youth side and his demotion comes two weeks after he was welcomed back into the fold.

PSG originally demoted the France international after failing to offload him during the summer.

However he was reinstated to the first team after his agent, Jean-Jacques Bertrand sent a letter to the club's sporting director Antero Henrique.

And on Friday, French news oulet, L'Equipe, reported that the former Newcastle winger would again be relegated to the reserves.

The 30-year-old, who moved to PSG in the summer of 2016, is yet to feature for the Parisians this season.

"We demand that the club respects its obligations," Bertrand told L'Equipe.

"There, there is a sharp demotion of Hatem's working conditions."

He added: "We have entered into a measure of notorious discrimination against a player in the professional workforce.

Ben Arfa signed a three-year contract at the Parc des Prince last season but he has been told that he can leave following the signings of Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.
