Tottenham legend Jimmy Greaves meets Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen at club training ground
The Spurs stars appeared in high spirits with the club's record goalscorer ahead of weekend clash against Liverpool
TOTTENHAM legend Jimmy Greaves met the Spurs star that sill one day take his mantle at Hotspur Way on Friday.
Harry Kane and team-mate Christian Eriksen were delighted to meet the club's all-time top scorer that scored 266 goals in 379 appearances for the North London club.
The Spurs icon arrived at the training ground to see his former club train ahead of the weekend fixture against Liverpool.
Greaves is now wheelchair-bound after suffering a life-threatening stroke in May.
But he tried his best to shake the England star's hand, before raising a thumbs up.
After meeting the Spurs icon, Kane, who has 110 goals for the club, said: "It was an honour to meet Jimmy. His achievements at Spurs and his goals for club and country are certainly things that I aspire to.
"It's important that we continue to recognise the many great players in our history who have laid the foundations for what we're trying to achieve today.
Greaves was also a member of England's World Cup winning squad in 1966, but he did not receive his medal until 2009.
The former Spurs striker remains the highest goalscorer in the history of the English top-flight with 357 goals.
Last season Kane became Tottenham's first player to score 20 plus league goals in three successive seasons since Greaves between 1966-69.
