HOLLYWOOD legend Mel Gibson could soon be adding a touch of glamour to South London by making appearances at Selhurst Park.
Gibson's producer pal Bruce Davey met Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish to discuss his interest in owning a stake in the team who are in the Premier League drop zone, according to reports.
Palace have attracted interest from the Asian market, with potential buyers from China and Malaysia having expressed an interest in the club, but defiant Parish insists the club is not for sale.
According to The Times, Davey hasn't yet made a formal offer but the communication channel has been left open.
Davey partnered with Gibson in the late Eighties to become co-owners of Icon Productions, they went on to produce some of the Hollywood star's biggest films, including Braveheart and The Passion of Christ.
Prior to partnering with the actor he was the manager of business affairs for Gibson, so he would have plenty of experience to draw upon when assisting with the club's tumultuous affairs.

Although the club have had the worst start to the season in Premier League history, Parish and fellow owners Joshua Harris and David Blitzer continue to assert their position that the club is not for sale.

But that has not stopped the Hollywood filmmaker expressing an interest in owning a stake in the club, which could provide a much needed cash injection.
The talks reportedly stepped up a gear after Hodgson's team came out of their goal drought against Chelsea, securing their first win of the season.
If Mel Gibson and his close friend Davey do bring a touch of Hollywood glamour to South London, they would join other famous faces such as Liam Neeson and Bill Nighy who are Crystal Palace fans.
