Accrington Stanley starlet Jordan Moseley found dead at just 15 to be buried in beloved Manchester City colours

The youth team star, who played for the under-16s side, died on Tuesday however no details surrounding his death have been revealed

AN ACCRINGTON STANLEY footballer player, who was found dead at his family home, will be buried in a Manchester City scarf.

Jordan Moseley, who played for the under-16s academy team, suddenly died earlier this month.

To commemorate Moseley's love of the club he will buried in the Lancashire-base club's red jersey, along with a scarf of his beloved Manchester City, according to his family.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, his dad said: “Jordan will be wearing a replica of his full red Accrington Stanley kit, and a Manchester City scarf.

"His original Stanley kit is too precious to part with.

“Jordan and I were season ticket holders at Manchester City.

 

“We have asked all the kids that are coming to his funeral to wear football shirts. We are making it as wonderful as we can. We want to celebrate everything about him.

"This was our ninth season - he has only seen the good times at the Etihad.

Youth and first team player from Accrington are expected to attend the 15-year-old's funeral.

The funeral will take place on November 3 in Greater Manchester.

The English Football League will be providing "any necessary support to anyone affected by this tragedy".

In a statement on its website, the club said: "We ask that everyone shows respect to the family at this difficult time."

The club have also published a special edition programmes for their game against Burnley on Saturday in tribute to Moseley.
