Mauricio Pochettino says Harry Kane gives him the ‘same feeling’ as Cristiano Ronaldo… and Real Madrid star should be used as an ‘example’
The Tottenham boss has heaped his talisman with praise ahead of Wednesday's Champions League clash
MAURICIO POCHETTINO has likened Tottenham ace Harry Kane to Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Spurs boss insists that the two players have similar mentalities, despite not personally knowing the Real Madrid star.
When questioned about Ronaldo's current lack of form in front of goal, Marca reported that Pochettino said: "He's a phenomenon.
"He has been awarded 'The Best' and the truth is that he deserves it.
"In addition to his qualities as a professional, he is an example.
"He never tires of repeating that the secret is to work hard, to strive, to take care of himself. Every player should apply it."
When asked if this is similar to Tottenham talisman Harry Kane, he said: "They are very similar in terms of professionalism.
"They understand that we must strive to achieve success.

Ronaldo has found the net seven times in all competitions for Real Madrid this term and was recently named Player of the Year at Fifa's best awards ceremony.
Kane has scored 13 goals for Spurs this season, and he is set to return for the Real Madrid clash at Wembley on Wednesday after suffering with an injury.
Tottenham have lost their last two games without the 24-year-old, so Pochettino will need him back for the group stage fixture.
