Jamie Carragher blasts Petr Cech, saying ‘he was a great goalkeeper but now he’s just a good goalkeeper’
Ex-Liverpool defender takes aim at blundering Arsenal keeper Cech for poor mistakes
ARSENAL goalkeeper Petr Cech has come under fire after a poor performance in their 3-1 loss to Manchester City.
A damning statistic revealed that Cech has yet to save a penalty for the Gunners, having faced 13 and conceded 13.
The comment came directly after Kevin De Bruyne's first half goal, which Carragher thought should have been saved.
The Belgian picked up the ball on the edge of the box and after exchanging passes with Fernandinho, hit a low left-footed strike across goal.
Cech got a hand on the shot, but ended up pushing it into the net, rather than to safety.
Carragher said on Sky Sports: "Petr Cech should save that."
He continued on to say: "I think he is one of the great goalkeepers in the Premier League, but now he's just a good goalkeeper."
The ex-Chelsea man has a jam packed trophy cabinet, picking up four Prem titles and a Champions League medal with the west London club.

Cech famously saved Arjen Robben's extra-time penalty in Chelsea's 2012 Champions League win.
Liverpool legend Carragher clearly thinks the 35-year-old has declined since making the switch across to north London.
