Leicester City 2 Manchester United 2: Injured Chris Smalling at fault yet again while Jamie Vardy bags his 50th Premier League goal

The England defender was forced to play with a groin injury as Jose Mourinho had ran out of substitutions

HARRY MAGUIRE scored a stoppage time equaliser to snatch a late point against Manchester United.

A brace from Juan Mata was not enough to secure the win as Jose Mourinho's side drop crucial points against Leicester City.

DEFENSIVE CHRIS-IS

Chris Smalling was left on the pitch after clearly struggling with a groin injury.

Jose Mourinho was out of substitutes and the English defender was forced to play until the final whistle.

And he was at fault for the final goal as Harry Maguire broke free at the back post to poke home the equaliser.

He was slow to react to the cross and his marking was loose, allowing Leicester to snatch a point in stoppage time.

VARDY PARTY TIME

Vardy scored the opener against the run of play after the United defence was caught sleeping.

The goal marks the English strikers 50th Premier League goal for Leicester City.

And 21 of Vardy's 50 goals in the top flight have come against 'big six' opposition.

He tormented the United defence throughout and was clinical in front of goal.

MAKING IT MATA

Juan Mata continued to impress after being selected to start by Jose Mourinho.

The Spanish star scored United's equaliser following Jamie Vardy's opener at the King Power Stadium.

Lingard provided the assist, and the 29-year-old struck his shot past the outstretched hand of Kasper Schmeichel.

And he went on to score a sublime free kick to put United ahead.

He now has the most Manchester United goals of anyone currently at the club, with 39.

TOO SLOW AND STEADY

Vardy scored the opener on Saturday evening to break the deadlock in Leicester.

Riyad Mahrez held the ball up, before laying it off to the England striker to poke home.

And United fans were furious to see two of their defenders slowly jogging back.

Phil Jones and Victor Lindelof decided to stroll back as the 30-year-old striker charged into the box.

ZLAT ISN'T ENOUGH

Zlatan Ibrahimovic had to endure the fixtures from the sidelines as once again he was left out of the squad.

Since returning from injury, the Swedish striker is yet to be named in the starting squad.

He has been restricted to cameo appearances in the later stages of games.

But United's strike-force looked strong, despite Romelu Lukaku drifting in and out at times.
