Stoke boss Mark Hughes to rekindle interest in Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo as concerns mount over Ryan Shawcross contract
Potters set to launch move for £15m-rated Colombian defender as doubts continue over captain's future
STOKE CITY are back in the hunt for Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo.
The Colombian is one of several stars the Serie A club are willing to offload this summer.
And according to the Daily Mail, he is one of the top targets for Potters boss Mark Hughes.
Inter need to raise funds to offset their Financial Fair Play restrictions and are looking for around £15million for the stopper.
Stoke were plotting a move for the 25-year-old centre back in January but opted against it at the time.
However, with concerns over captain Ryan Shawcross still not signing a new deal, Murillo is now back under consideration.

Despite speculation over his future, the 25-capped international centre-half has insisted he is “going back to Inter” following his summer break.
The ace is currently back in his homeland and showed his support for the Juan Cuadrado Foundation along with Manchester United’s Paul Pogba by lining-up in a charity match in Medellin.
Murillo lost his place in the Inter side last season but still intends to stay and fight for it back.
He told Radio Caracol: “I have three years left on my contract and I'll be going back to Inter.
“I don't know anything about the market rumours, right now I just want to take advantage of my holiday.”
Stoke also have a number of other defensive targets on their radar should they miss out on Murillo.
Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho is another Hughes is interested in and he is also keen on signing Middlesbrough’s Ben Gibson.
