Aston Villa’s former Liverpool star Aly Cissokho set to sign for Turkish minnows Yeni Malatyaspor
France international set to end miserable spell in England as Steve Bruce prepares to ship him out
ASTON VILLA'S ex-Liverpool star Aly Cissokho is set for a move ... to Turkish minnows Yeni Malatyaspor.
The France international joined Villa from Spaniards Valencia in 2014.
However he has spent parts of the last two seasons out on loan to Porto and Olympiacos.
Cissokho, 29, played 19 times for Liverpool on loan from Valencia four seasons ago.
The left-back has since made 58 Villa appearances without scoring.
He has a year left on his contract with the Midlanders, but is not part of boss Steve Bruce's plans.
The defender is now poised to join Malatyaspor after agreeing personal terms.
Now the newly promoted Turkey's Super Lig outfit are close to finalising a move.
