LIVERPOOL beat Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday in an impressive display from Jurgen Klopp's side.
Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Daniel Sturridge were all on target to put Bayern to the sword on their own back yard.
Here are five things we learnt from the Allianz Arena.
Double trouble
For the first time we saw Mane and Salah play together and the results were devastating.
With that much pace and skill on either flank, defences are in for a nightmare this season.
They played either side of Roberto Firmino in a front three and the trio look to have clicked already.
Firmino stole the ball back high up the pitch to set Mane up for the first goal.

Scorer turned provider for the second as his excellent skill to flick the ball into Moreno's path opened Bayern up once more, and Salah headed home the rebound.
Deep Phil
Philippe Coutinho dropped back into a midfield role and it suited him down to the ground.
He was able to nick the ball back and get it forward quickly into the speedsters Mane and Salah.
Coutinho's passing range is excellent, and from deep he's able to see the field in front of him and ping balls all over the place.
Dare I say it, it was an Andres Iniesta-type performance when he was in his Barcelona prime. No wonder the Catalans want him so bad.
No pressing issues
Liverpool never had any problems last year out of possession, when they could win the ball back high up the pitch and exploit the spaces left.
Their issues came at Anfield in breaking down compact teams.
While their first half at the Allianz Arena was impressive, Klopp must be hoping that Salah can help unlock defences too as well as running in behind them.
Back to basics
The full-back positions are probably the most up for grabs in this Liverpool side.
On the right, Trent Alexander-Arnold was given the start ahead of last year's first choice Nathaniel Clyne and there's very little in that individual battle with AA's rapid improvement.
One the left, Alberto Moreno was impressive going forward but his Anfield career is in doubt with the arrival of Andrew Robertson.
James Milner was first choice left back last season and should retain that spot this year, unless Klopp moves him back to midfield.
Sturr crazy injury
Somehow Sturridge managed to injure himself by scoring a goal.
It was a clinical finish from the English striker, reminding us of his class.
It's just a shame his career seems to be ravaged by injuries.
As he clipped the ball over the goalkeeper for Liverpool's third goal, he grimaced instantly and was replaced by Dominic Solanke.
