Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp not interested in Andre Gomes or Rafinha in swap deal with Barcelona for Philippe Coutinho
LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp has told Barcelona he is not interested in Andre Gomes or Rafinha as part of any swap deal for Philippe Coutinho.
The Reds chief is not interested in a cash-plus-player deal with the La Liga giants as he aims to keep hold of the star Brazilian this summer.
Barcelona recently launched another massive bid for Coutinho, with Liverpool turning down a world-record £89.5million deal, according to reports.
Now, the Spanish side are hoping to lure the "Little Magician" to the Nou Camp with a massive fee AND one of either Gomes or Rafinha.
However, Klopp - who led Liverpool to an impressive 3-0 win over Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday - has passed on the suggestion.
The German chief considers Rafinha to be too injury-prone to justify a move - despite being rated as a £36m makeweight.
Portugal international Gomes is seen in the same light and also lacks first-team experience, at just 23-years-old.
While Klopp continues to act in a confident manner when it comes to keeping hold of Coutinho, he does appear to be willing to entertain the notion of big-money offers.

However, senior officials at the club are adamant there will be no deal for the Brazilian star, who has been the shining light at Liverpool since his £8.5m switch in January 2013.
Coutinho has made 138 Premier League appearances in the past four-and-a-half years at Anfield, scoring 34 times - including a career-high 13 last season alone.
The attacking midfielder has already racked up 28 caps for Brazil - including captaining the nation in their friendly win over Australia in June.
Should Coutinho leave Anfield this summer, Klopp will turn his attention to Bayern Munich ace Renato Sanches or Monaco's Thomas Lemar.
