The German manager was delighted with the shift Moreno put in during the 3-0 friendly win against Bayern Munich
JURGEN KLOPP insists Alberto Moreno could still have a future at Liverpool.
Left-back Moreno was expected to be on his way out of the club following the £8million signing of Andy Robertson from Hull.
But the Spaniard’s superb display in the Kop’s 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in their Audi Cup semi-final at the Allianz Arena on Tuesday may have prompted a change of heart from his manager.
Klopp said afterwards: “If he plays like he did here, then yes of course he still has a future. It was a really good performance by Alberto and that’s the reason we kept him on.
“With every minute he seemed to get better and better. He was really fit.
“He has had a little problem with his thigh but he passed a little test before the game and he played really well.
“I don’t close the door on anybody. The players will decide themselves how many games they play this season.”
Klopp also reiterated to Barcelona that Philippe Coutinho is not for sale.
