Stoke fans burn Marko Arnautovic shirt after ‘greedy’ Austrian’s £25m move to West Ham… but they don’t miss him in RB Leipzig win
Disgruntled supporters react with fire as they set light to former Potters star's old No 10 shirt
STOKE fans have made their feelings about Marko Arnautovic's departure clear by filming themselves attempting to set fire to his old number ten shirt.
In footage shared online some disgruntled supporters chant in unison "money, money, money, f*** off Arnie, you're a greedy c***" as two Stoke fans hold the shirt, while a third puts a lighter to it.
Arnautovic, 28, joined West Ham in a club-record £25million deal this summer.
The Austrian's exit was a bitter blow for the Potters, who only got to enjoy 12 months of the forward's new four-year contract.
He already demonstrated his worth to the Hammers by scoring on his pre-season debut against Werder Bremen last month.
Potters chairman Peter Coates accusing the Austrian of showing no gratitude towards the club.
And Arnautovic's claims that his new side - who finished two spots ahead of Stoke in last season's Premier League - are a bigger club rubbed further salt into the wounds for fans at the Bet365 Stadium.
After sealing his switch, Arnautovic said: "It feels special to me to be a West Ham player.
"Everyone knows that West Ham is a big club, with a big history and I'm happy to be part of it now.
"I can't wait to get started. They are crazy for football and this is what I like."
The same social media page that posted the video also shared a picture of the star's charred shirt on the floor.
It is believed to have been damaged while fans were attending Stoke's impressive pre-season win German runners-up RB Leipzig
Stoke won the fixture 2-1 thanks to a first-half strike from Mame Biram Diouf and an Marvin Compper own-goal.
