Spurs are stepping up their interest after learning Red Devils are in the hunt for the Three Lions youngster
TOTTENHAM have stepped up their interest in Bolton’s Jake Turner after learning Manchester United are in the hunt.
United want the England youth keeper, 18, as we revealed.
But Spurs have sent spies to Bolton’s last two reserve games to watch the youngster.
Wanderers have only just put Turner on a full-time contract and he was on the bench last season.
United boss Jose Mourinho wants to coach him for the future at Old Trafford.
Everton also rate Turner highly, but United have the lead in the race.
Bolton will take the biggest offer.
United have been tipped off by some of the FA coaching staff about the quality of the Cheshire-born Under-18 cap.
