"I've said all along that we are in a building phase which requires a step by step process.

"I think we've seen an improvement all across the club in recent seasons and we must continue that in what is such a tough, tough league.

"Having spoken to John at great length over the summer, we know this club has a direction it needs to follow and we are determined to do that."

Pulis joined West Brom in 2015 after his stint sole year at Crystal Palace, on the back of seven-year tenure of Stoke.

In Pulis' first season at the Hawthorns he led the Baggies to 14th in the Premier League.

Yet he masterminded a more than solid season in 2016-17, as he sent his West Brom into the top ten, ending the season in tenth place.

Pulis has now signed on at the Midlands club until at least 2020.
