Liverpool starlet Ryan Kent signs new five-year deal and is set to be loaned out again this season

Three German clubs, plus Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, queue up to take 20-year-old under their wing for 2017/18

LIVERPOOL starlet Ryan Kent has signed a new five-year deal.

The 20-year-old winger spent last season on loan at Barnsley.

And, according to Bild, already three German clubs - Freiburg, Hannover and Stuttgart - are keen to take him this time around.

Some Championship clubs, including Aston Villa and Middlesbrough, are also interested so maybe it's a question of whether a year in the Bundesliga is more beneficial to Kent.

That's, of course, if Liverpool decide to send him out on loan again.

Kent has impressed in pre-season, appearing in seven of the Reds' eight friendlies and catching the eye with his cameo in the win at Bayern Munich.

And the Reds are seemingly short on wide players, so maybe Jurgen Klopp will keep him at Anfield.

The player spoke about his contract with the official Liverpool FC website but gave no clue as to what happens next.

Said the former Coventry City winger: "It's a big achievement.

"It's pay off for all the hard work that's been put in over the last few years, so it's a big achievement for me, my mum, my dad, my family and friends that have been with me throughout this big journey.

 

 

"I'm looking forward to kicking on in the future now.

“I’ve tried not to take any safe options – I’ve got nothing to lose here at Liverpool Football Club.”

Kent made Kent made 45 appearances for Barnsley and was named the Tykes’ Young Player of the Year.

His sole senior appearance for Liverpool came in the FA Cup draw at Exeter City in January 2016, shortly after returning from a four-month stint at Coventry.
