Gunners and Foxes put on a real treat for spectators who are now eagerly looking forward to Premier League season

PREMIER LEAGUE fans have declared Arsenal’s dramatic 4-3 win over Leicester as arguably the greatest opening day game of all time.

Arsene Wenger and Craig Shakespeare’s men produced a classic on the first day of the new season as their two sides produced goals galore.

New boy Alexandre Lacazette got his Arsenal career off to a flyer with an opening goal in the second minute.

However, the Emirates was stunned into silence when Shinji Okazaki equalised minutes later before Jamie Vardy put Leicester ahead.

Danny Welbeck gave the Gunners a lifeline with a much-needed goal on the stroke of half-time.

But Vardy put the Foxes in front yet again with just over half an hour remaining before sub Aaron Ramsey stepped up to seemingly rescue Arsenal a point in the 83rd minute.

But fellow benchwarmer Olivier Giroud had other ideas and just two minutes later found the back of the net to seal a thrilling victory for the home side.

Taking to Twitter, many fans voiced their opinion that it was one of the great opening day spectacles ever witnessed in sport.
