Jese Rodriguez wants Stoke move as PSG forward rejects Fiorentina offer and awaits stunning switch to England

Former Real Madrid star has his sights set on Premier League and is keen to play under Mark Hughes after flopping in France

FORMER Real Madrid star Jese Rodriguez has reportedly rejected a loan move to Fiorentina and is now set for a stunning switch to Stoke City instead.

AS claims the Paris Saint-Germain winger will pen a temporary deal with the Potters after deciding to test himself in the Premier League.

Jese had already agreed to link up for Fiorentina for a two-year spell as a replacement for Juventus-bound Federico Bernardeschi.

But the Spain international apparently performed a dramatic U-turn at the last minute and is now determined to complete a move to Stoke as soon possible.

Jese only arrived at PSG a year ago from Real Madrid in a deal worth £22.5million.

But he struggled to make an impression under Unai Emery and returned to Spain with minnows Las Palmas at the start of 2017.

However, Jese’s form at the Santiago Bernabeu has not been forgotten by a number of big European clubs.

And Fiorentina reckoned they’d done enough to secure his signature before the player changed his mind at the final moment.

It now means Mark Hughes is set to add to his forward line after losing Marko Arnautovic to West Ham.

Jese’s versatility means he can be deployed in a number of different roles, a convenient boost for Hughes after the Welshman became the latest manager to join the three-man defence trend in Saturday’s Premier League opening day defeat to Everton.
