Philippe Coutinho drives home from training as his Liverpool team-mates fly to Germany for their Champions League play-off game
PHILIPPE COUTINHO was spotted driving home from training as his Liverpool team-mates flew off to Germany for their Champions League play-off game.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds take on Hoffenheim in the crunch game - and will have to do so without their star Brazilian.
The "Little Magician" missed the Premier League opener at Watford with a back injury and has also been ruled out of the game in Germany.
However, Coutinho's absence from the Liverpool squad for Hoffenheim only further fuels speculation he will leave Anfield this summer.
The Brazil forward reportedly submitted a transfer request last week, after Liverpool ruled out any potential move.
Klopp's Reds have already turned down bids of £72million and £90m this summer, with the club now bracing themselves for a reported £109m bid.
The fact Coutinho is missing also means he is not currently registered in the Liverpool squad for the Champions League.
That now means he would not be cup-tied for Europe's elite competition should he move to the Nou Camp this summer.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Liverpool squad set off from Melwood to the airport for the game in Germany.
However, things got off to a bad start for star forward Sadio Mane… who seemed to have some difficulty with his luggage.
The Senegalese star, who scored against the Hornets at Vicarage Road, couldn’t keep hold of his wheelie suitcase as it crashed to the floor en route to the airport.
Elsewhere, German duo Klopp and Emre Can were spotted on board, along with former Hoffenheim forward Roberto Firmino, now of course a Reds star.
