Traffic wardens pounce on Manchester United stars as Red Devils celebrate Ander Herrera turning 28
A HOST of Manchester United's stars went out for dinner to celebrate Ander Herrera's birthday on Monday - but it proved to be a costly affair.
Jose Mourinho will definitely not be allowing his squad to take their eye off the ball following the opening day 4-0 thumping of West Ham.
But his men were not quite as sharp when it came to their parking abilities as they were in front of goal against the Hammers on Sunday.
Eagle-eyed traffic wardens managed to dampen the celebratory mood by handing out a hat-trick of parking tickets to the star-studded group with only one man escaping the penalty.
And it will come as little surprise to followers of the Red Devils that the lucky member of the quartet out for lunch descended at the Tapeo and Wine Restuarant in Manchester city centre was David De Gea - the goalkeeper renowned for his saving abilities.
Birthday boy Herrera will perhaps feel the most hard done by, with the extra present waiting for him on the windscreen of his White Mercedes 4x4 no doubt putting a dampener on his day.
But he was in good company when it came to getting stung for £60 by the stringent sheriffs of the parking world.
United defender Marcos Rojo's smile quickly turned to a frown when he returned to his black Cadillac Escalade.

And fellow Spaniard Juan Mata also had a surprise encased in yellow plastic under the wiper of his burgundy Mercedes 4x4.
The foursome were clearly such a good time marking Herrera turning 28 that they lost track of time.
And wardens were only too happy to hit them in their wallets as they over-stayed the two-hour maximum stay time.
But De Gea, who posted a snap of him and his Spanish team-mate Herrera onInstagram from inside Tapeo, clearly had his eye on his watch.
Not only did he arrive after his colleagues, but he also exited before the allotted period of time.
Mourinho will be expecting his men to be more on the ball when they travel to Swansea on Saturday lunchtime, where United will be hoping to make it two Premier league wins from two.
