Victor Lindelof looks glum after being dropped as Manchester United stars arrive in fleet of Mercedes for training
The Swede was Jose Mourinho's first signing of summer transfer window but will be eased into squad in much the same way Henrikh Mkhitaryan was after initially struggling to adapt
VICTOR LINDELOF looks like he's going into hiding after being dropped for Manchester United's storming first game of the new season.
The Swede was manager Jose Mourinho's first signing of the summer transfer window when he arrived for £31million back in June.
But pulling into the AON training complex today in his plush Mercedes the defender tried his best to lay low with his hood pulled up over his head.
Romelu Lukaku bagged a brace as United thumped sorry West Ham 4-0 at Old Trafford.
But Lindelof had to watch from the sidelines as he faces the prospect of being eased into the first team.
That method mirrors the way Armenian winger Henrikh Mkhitaryan eventually found his feet in the side.
Lindelof did start in the Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid - but Mourinho admitted it came a bit too soon for him.
And on Saturday Phil Jones was given the nod to partner Eric Bailly in the centre of defence.
Lindelof hopes he will get some game time in Saturday's clash at Swansea - like team-mates David de Gea and Juan Mata.
The Spanish pair shared a lift to training, while Nemanja Matic and Lukaku drove in alone.
And at least there were no traffic wardens around this time to penalise the United stars.
