Tottenham to bank another £4.5million from Gylfi Sigurdsson’s £45m move from Swansea to Everton

Despite moving from White Hart Lane three years ago, the Iceland international is still proving to be an asset for Tottenham

TOTTENHAM will reportedly make £4.5million if Gylfi Sigurdsson's move from Swansea to Everton goes through.

The playmaker joined the Swans from Spurs three years ago in a deal that sent Ben Davies and Michel Vorm to White Hart Lane, but Tottenham added in a ten per cent sell-on clause, which they can now reap the rewards for.

That means the midfielder will earn his old team £4.5m for his departure from Swansea, according to the Evening Standard.

Tottenham sold the Icelandic star for £6.8m plus the two players.

They will cash in 66 per cent of that total fee they received from the Swans three years ago when the £45m deal to send Siguardsson to Everton is finalised.

The fee they are benefiting off is similar to the fees they paid to bring in Eric Dier and Dele Alli who cost £4m and £5m.

They could have been looking at an even bigger profit as 27-year-old Sigurdsson was initially valued at £50m by the Swans.

Not that Spurs are strapped for cash after raking in £50m for Kyle Walker earlier this summer and so far not splashing out on any new faces.

However they have been linked to a move for Colombian Davinson Sanches who has told Ajax he wants a move to the London club.
