Kane lashed home 29 Premier League goals last season, managing the feat in just 30 games.
He boasted the best ratio of any player to win the top scorer prize in Premier League history, bettering Luis Suarez's 0.94 record from four years ago.
The other Prem players chosen for the prestigious award are Eden Hazard and N'Golo Kante (Chelsea) , Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Manchester United) and Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal).
Other leading lights in the list include veteran Juventus keeper Gianlugi Buffon, Barcelona's Andres Iniesta and Luis Suarez, along with Luka Modric and Sergio Ramos of Real Madrid.
Ronaldo is the current winner.
