AC MILAN reportedly want one of Crystal Palace’s Yohan Cabaye, Watford’s Etienne Capoue or Leicester’s Nampalys Mendy to replace crocked midfield star Giacomo Bonaventura.
Sport Italia via TMW claims the Premier League trio are in Milan’s crosshairs after fan favourite Bonaventura was forced off in Thursday’s 6-0 Europa League play-off win over Shkendija.
There are fears that the Italy international could miss a substantial chunk of the season.
And after splashing the cash on TEN new first-team signings, Milan have no intention of battling Juventus for the Serie A title a man down.
It’s said that Leicester flop Mendy and Watford benchwarmer Capoue are both of interest to Vincenzo Montella, who doesn’t want to spend huge amounts on a replacement.
However, Palace playmaker Cabaye is at the top of the wishlist and is sure to be interested in swapping Selhurst Park for the San Siro.
Milan’s spending spree has seen them become one of the most talked about teams in Europe this summer.
And they got their season off to a terrific start with the thrashing of Shkendija last night, with new signings Andrea Conti, Franck Kessie, Hakan Calhanoglu, Andre Silva and Fabio Borini all starting.
