Manchester City’s £4.5million bid for Oguz Kagan Guctekin rejected by Fenerbahce — with Arsenal and Tottenham also keen on Turkish wonderkid
Super Lig side's president Aziz Yildirim revealed the offer and has promised 18-year-old first team football if he stays
ARSENAL and Tottenham have joined Manchester City in the race for Turkish whizkid Oguz Kagan Guctekin.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been promoted to the Fenerbahce first-team set up and sparked interest in the Premier League.
Aziz Yildirim, president for the Turkish giants, claims City have lodged a £4.5million offer to take him to the Etihad Stadium.
But scouts from Arsenal and Spurs have also been tracking his progress and are ready to compete for the teenager.
It will take an improved offer to land Guctekin, with Yildrim insisting the offer from City was rejected.
He promised the youngster a path to the first-team if he stays in Turkey.
Yildrim said: “Manchester City have made a €5m (£4.5m) offer for him.
"We turned down the offer.

“We gave assurances that he will play this season, do not be surprised to see him in the starting XI as a number eight.”
But that may not stop clubs across Europe attempting to land the defensive midfielder, who has played for his country in youth teams and has been tipped for full honours.
Guctekin only signed a pro contract with the Turkish giants last summer.
