Tottenham hero Harry Kane will be chased by Real Madrid as he outshines Karim Benzema, according to Spurs icon Gary Lineker
White Hart Lane hero and Match of the Day star says England striker will be a target for Galacticos
TOTTENHAM should expect a raid for Harry Kane from Real Madrid while he continues to outgun Karim Benzema, according to former Spurs star Gary Lineker
Manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy insist NONE of their title-chasing squad is up for sale, with £150million not even enough to land Dele Alli.
But the Match of the Day star and White Hart Lane hero says that knock on the door for Kane is inevitable while he continues to shine across Europe.
Lineker – who played for three celebrated seasons in North London – also reiterated his opinion that the Kane is king compared to Galactico Benzema.
The former England striker told Yahoo Sport. “Where could go Kane be in a few years' time?
“That remains to be seen and while Spurs will hope he stays with them, you can see a scenario where one of the big clubs might look at him.
“I stand by my statement from last season that he was better than their current striker Karim Benzema and feel Kane could play for a big club like Real Madrid right now if he wanted to.
“I like Benzema, he is a very good centre-forward, but I think if I played in that Real Madrid team, I would score a goal every game and I think Kane is good enough to play at that stature of club.”
