Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola claims he has ‘enough good players up front’ despite lining up a £400,000-a-week deal for Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez
MANCHESTER CITY boss Pep Guardiola claims he will have "enough good players up front" even if he doesn't manage to land Alexis Sanchez on a record-breaking £400,000-a-week deal.
The Spanish chief has been chasing Arsenal's star man all summer and is even willing to part with the astronomical sum in order to land his man, as we exclusively revealed.
However, Guardiola has now gone coy on the situation, claiming he has sufficient attacking depth with the likes of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus in his ranks.
City boss Guardiola said: "I have enough good players up front.
"[They should] just relax and score goals - that's all.
"I have two amazing strikers, two No9s, Gabriel [Jesus] and Sergio [Aguero], but I have others who can score a lot of goals."
Guardiola went on to say that players such as Leroy Sane and Kevin De Bruyne are also more than capable of finding the net with regularity.
He added: "Leroy [Sane] scored goals last season and Kevin De Bruyne is a guy who scores 15 goals [a season].

"If just half of the posts - chances which he creates himself - scores a goal, it is a step forward."
City also have forward-thinking players such as Raheem Sterling, David Silva and Bernardo Silva in their squad.
However, one of the biggest criticisms of the Eastlands side last season was their inability to convert the vast number of chances they created.
Sanchez has been touted as the man to fill the void, but whether Guardiola will pull the trigger on the deal, for now, remains to be seen.
