Alvaro Morata aims to down Tottenham and banish the Wembley nightmare of his Chelsea debut
Blues striker admits he is still troubled by penalty miss in Community Shield shoot-out and says return to national stadium gives him the chance of redemption
ALVARO MORATA says he wants to shoot down Tottenham to help consign the memories of his Chelsea debut nightmare to the bin.
Morata is hoping to start in today's big London clash between the title rivals at Wembley.
And the £65million striker is also desperate to make up for the penalty miss at the national stadium that helped cost his new side the Community Shield.
Morata dragged his shot wide of target in the shoot-out as Arsenal won the annual curtain-raiser to the new season - and the pain is still etched in his mind.
He said: "It is a big motivation for me, it is a bad place (Wembley) for me at the moment because I missed a penalty.
"But I have the opportunity to take this feeling out of my body, my head and all the heads of Chelsea supporters.
"I am very motivated for this game, it is against Tottenham, a very big team."
Speaking to Sky Sports, Morata added: "It is not good, I missed a penalty which was important for the team, for the club, it is a trophy, all week it is in my head and it is not good.

"My feeling is I am new on this team, I am new in the Premier League, and it's just the beginning for me.
"But I could only think about this thing - the penalty - it's the mentality that is important."
Chelsea's defence of their Premier League title could hardly have got off to a worse start as they crashed to a 3-2 home defeat to Burnley and had Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas sent-off.
But Morata wants to get over that disappointment, even though he came off the bench to score, and go on to prove he can be a success in the top flight.
He added: "I want to make an explosion.
"I played well at Real Madrid and at Juventus, but I think I did not make the explosion that everyone expected of me.
"I need to be an important player for the team, for the Spanish national team.
"And I think I am at the better age and all of the best moments of my career are coming.
"I played good matches in the Champions League, but one a month.
"I need to play every weekend, score goals and play at the top level every weekend. And I work for this situation."
