Tottenham’s Wembley record: Have Spurs ever won at the national stadium?

Tottenham went a whole year without losing a home league game, but have yet to win one since moving to Wembley

TOTTENHAM'S miserable run of form at Wembley continued as they drew to Burnley in their second league match at the ground.

The national stadium is home to Spurs for a year while they are rebuilding White Hart Lane - but unless they arrest their woeful form they could be in for a long season.

The North London club have now played 12 matches at Wembley since it was rebuilt, and won just twice.

More worrying for Mauricio Pochettino and his squad, that run has seen them lose eight of those matches and draw just twice.

Last season's push for the title, which ultimately saw them finish second behind Chelsea, was built on a brilliant unbeaten record in front of their own fans in the league.

But the 2-1 defeat to the Blues was the first time they have lost a home Premier League match since Southampton beat them 2-1 in May 2016.

And that was followed up by a last minute Chris Wood equaliser which sealed a point for Burnley.

Tottenham's struggles at Wembley were highlighted last season in the Champions League when they won just one of their group matches.

CSKA Moscow were the only team they could beat, drawing with Gent and losing to Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen.

They were also on the wrong end of a 4-2 defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final last season to compound their misery.

Other than the CSKA victory, the only other time a Spurs side has won at the new-look Wembley was the first time they played there.

On that day they beat Chelsea to win the League Cup in February 2008.
