YOU'VE probably seen him at Liverpool before, prowling the touchline, thick black glasses, Reds tracksuit on all complete with some designer stubble.

No, we're not talking about Jurgen Klopp, we're on about Andreas Kornmayer.

Who, you may ask?

Well, in recent months, football fans have been treated to - and confused by - a bit of double vision at Anfield.

Last summer Liverpool hired Kornmayer to take on a role in the back office at the club, much to the delight of onlookers.

Kornmayer is a German fitness and conditioning coach, currently working at Liverpool.

The sports science guru has plenty of experience in his home country.

The German has been in the industry since 2004 in a host of positions and roles.

Kornmayer joined Liverpool in April 2016, under Klopp's reign.

He takes on the role of "head of fitness and conditioning" at the Merseyside giants.

The German studied sports science - as well as medicine - at Munich University prior to his football career.

Where else might I have seen Andreas Kornmayer?

The sports-science boffin began working with Bayern’s youth team in 2004 and worked his way up through the ranks.

He was promoted to first-team duties in 2010, working under Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes and Pep Guardiola.

However, Kornmayer left to join Liverpool, saying: “Liverpool is a big and a great club with a lot of tradition."
