Jack Wilshere WILL be available for Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool despite seeing red against Manchester City’s U23s

Arsene Wenger can call upon England international for Sunday's visit to Anfield as FA rules state the star's ban will be served in non-senior matches

JACK WILSHERE will be available for Arsenal’s crunch clash at Liverpool on Sunday despite being sent off for shoving an opponent in an under-23s game last night.

The midfielder was raging after getting his marching orders against Manchester City’s youngsters and appeared to get caught in another tussle in the tunnel.

Wilshere, 25, reacted furiously after being hit with a late tackle and responded by pushing City's Matt Smith to the ground.

Referee Samuel Allison attempted to get between the pair before another City youngster, Tyreke Wilson, flew at the England international and appeared to aim a kick while also going in with his head.

That led to a huge tussle involving several players from both sides in the centre circle before Wilshere and Wilson were sent to the showers.

However, the drama did not end there as the pair had another fiery confrontation inside the tunnel before they were eventually separated.

The incident is another setback for the injury-plagued star as he attempts to get back into the first-team fold and fight for his future.

But despite his red card, Arsene Wenger WILL still be able to include him in his squad for the clash at Anfield.

Although Wilshere will have to serve a three-match ban, Football Association rules state it will be served in non-first team games.

That means he will only miss out on the next trio of fixtures for the U23s.

Wilshere, who has been linked with a move to Italian giants AC Milan, is fighting for his Arsenal career.

He is out of contract next summer, but Wenger insists he still has a future at the club.

Up until the explosion of anger that ended his night early, Wilshere - who is continuing his recovery after fracturing his leg against Spurs in April - was controlling things in midfield.

He laid on an inch-perfect assist as Arsenal went on to win 4-3.

And after watching his side suffer defeat at Stoke City last Saturday, Wenger may feel the need to add a bit of extra bite into his squad for the challenge against Jurgen Klopp’s men.
