Catalan club to join City Football Group and alliance between two clubs has already started with four loan moves this summer
PEP GUARDIOLA'S brother and Manchester City's owners are set to complete a deal to take over La Liga side Girona FC.
Negotiations have been ongoing, and another team is close to being added to the City Football Group.
New York City FC and Melbourne City FC are other members.
Negotiations to complete the takeover of the Catalan outfit are ongoing, but for the price of roughly £6.4million, City and businessman Pere Guardiola will own 88.5 per cent of the newly-promoted La Liga club.
For the past two years, it had been the property of French company TVSE Football.
Guardiola and the City Football Group will split their percentage of the club evenly.
Girona's relationship with the two-time Premier League-winners has grown in the past two years as City Catalan influence expanded.
They finished last season as runners-up in the Spanish second tier, to earn an historic promotion.

And their fight to stay in La Liga has been seriously aided by City, who have loaned them FIVE players.
Aleix Garcia, Olarenwaju Kayode, Marlos Moreno, Pablo Moffeo and Douglas Luiz have all made the temporary move.
