Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic the only Premier League star recognised by Uefa in top ten rankings
Likes of Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba were all omitted from the list as Real Madrid and Juventus dominate
ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC is the only Premier League star on Uefa's top ten ranked players for 2016-17.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Sergio Aguero and Paul Pogba all missed out on a place in the prestigious list.
While PFA Player of the Year N'Golo Kante was not eligible as Chelsea were not involved in any European competition last term.
Amazingly Neymar - who instrumented Barcelona's historic 6-5 aggregate comeback over Paris Saint-Germain last season - was overlooked.
Cristiano Ronaldo followed up his award for best forward by being crowned Men's Player of the Year, fighting off competition from Lionel Messi and Gianluigi Buffon.
Messi finished runner up to his Real Madrid rival, despite only making it to the quarter-finals with Barca last season.
Juventus keeper Buffon took third place after helping steer the Italian club to the final in Cardiff.
Unsurprisingly Real Madrid dominated the list, with four players - Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Sergio Ramos - included.

Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe came in eighth while Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski finished ninth.
Last placed Ibrahimovic - who re-signed for Manchester United yesterday - scored five goals and won the competition with the Red Devils.
He said: "I'm so glad to be here, and honoured to win this trophy again.
"Thank you to my team-mates and congratulations to them too. I'm so blessed – thanks also to the supporters of Real Madrid, and everyone who helped me to achieve this trophy."
The Uefa rankings for best player of the year were decided by a panel of 80 coaches of clubs that took part in the group stages of the competition, as well as 55 journalists selected by the European Sports Media group.
