Bolt shared images of himself at Old Trafford ahead of kick-off on Twitter, as he hopes United can keep up their lightning quick start to the season at home to the Foxes.

As well as meeting former United boss and club legend Sir Alex Ferguson, the Jamaican also shared an image of himself with Sir Bobby Charlton and posed with the Europa League trophy.

Bolt didn’t quite enjoy the send-off he’d hoped at the World Championships in London.

After being beaten by American Justin Gatlin to gold in the 100 metres, Bolt suffered an injury in the 4x100m relay as Jamaica fell out of the medal positions.

But since calling time on his glittering track career, has has not been shy in pursuing other interests.

As well as announcing he will be opening a new chain of fast-food restaurants in the UK, he is also considering a switch to football.

Bolt's agent Ricky Simms revealed his client will be training with German giants Borussia Dortmund, with Burton Albion also intrigued in the idea of the Jamaican sprint king.

Simms had claimed: “If you ask him he will want to play football and because he has said that we have had a dozen clubs who would like him to go for a trial with them.

“I don’t want to name names but he will go to Dortmund because the CEO of Puma, who is a good friend of ours, is on the board at Borussia Dortmund. He will go to train with them.

“Can a sprinter who is 30-years-old play in the Bundesliga or the Premier League? Realistically that is a step too far.

"I think if he had six months or nine months playing and training with a team then he could play at some level whether that is League One or League Two.”

For now, Bolt is content with just watching football, as he took in Saturday evening's Premier League clash.

United are gunning for a third straight win to start the season, after dismantling both Swansea and West Ham 4-0.
